Other great ideas are the local gorge scrambling and the canyoning - if you have the balls you can even try your hand at cliff jumping!! (Thats not for the faint hearted!). Edinburgh is a historic capital city with some amazing buildings and streets, which come to life in the evening to the sound of the scottish masses.
