Edinburgh
The Scottish definitely know how to enjoy a good glass of whiskey – or ten! Because of this, Edinburgh is an obvious destination for any successful stag party weekend. For those that do not wish to travel too far, Edinburgh reasonably close to England, but far enough away to feel like an actual getaway. What Edinburgh offers in the way of stag do ideas, is not easily found anywhere else in the country (Except maybe North Wales). With its stunning mountain ranges, there are a huge range of outdoor sports that will keep any stag weekend party entertained. Most popular of the Edinburgh stag do activities is probably white water rafting, which is sure to thrill even the most daring of stag groups. While white water rafting is probably the most well know activitiy we also highly recommend "Duckies" which are small inflatable "armchairs" which you have to try and stay in while you are thrown down a series of rapids! Other great ideas are the local gorge scrambling and the canyoning - if you have the balls you can even try your hand at cliff jumping!! (Thats not for the faint hearted!). Edinburgh is a historic capital city with some amazing buildings and streets, which come to life in the evening to the sound of the scottish masses. In summary - if your stuck for a stag do destination - consider Edinburgh top of your list!!
